Abbas Hasan has scooped his first film role as the lead actor in an Indian film about cricket.
The film about the power of love, friendship and humanity, told through sport and set across man-made borders and boundaries.
Abbas Hasan plays the role of Yaseen Mubarak, a Pakistani cricketer who travels to India to reconnect with his roots in his father's native land while coaching an Indian cricket team.
The journey takes on a deeper meaning as his past meets his present; relationships and the rules of the game come to the test.
Talking about his involvement in the film Abbas states “I feel honoured that they picked me as the lead role for this film, but it has been hard work with early shoots starting at 6am till 10pm everyday can take its toll especially travelling to different locations throughout the eve, but without a doubt is an amazing experience am so grateful for” Mumbai Rouge successfully negotiated the lead role for Abbas Hasan after the controversy started with Mohammed Asif regarding match fixing.
Abbas will be back in the UK at the end of March and back into the studio with Rishi to finish of his album.
