A cross panel discussion and debate on the topic of Extremism, Islam and the Muslim Community is to take place in Rochdale.
Organised by 'Majed's Blog' it will aim to cover a wide range of issues related to the current political climate.
Issues under the microscope will include the Forest Gate episode, the shooting of Charles de Menezes, the millions of pounds being invested by the government into the Muslim community, the alleged failure of mosques, the threats of banning non-violent Islamic groups as well as the recent portrayal of Rochdale Central (Idara) Mosque in the Policy exchange document titled "The Hijacking of British Islam".
The event will pose these issues to the panelists- Paul Rown MP (Lib Dems, Ali Khan (Hizb ut-Tahrir) and others.
Oppurtunities will also be offered to the audience to raise their questions and comments and engage with the invited panelists.
The Q & A takes place on Saturday 9 February 6pm at Castlemere Community Centre. Everyone is welcome.
