The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is delighted once again to sponsor the Fusion Education Achievement Award.
With campuses in Preston, Burnley, Cumbria and Cyprus, UCLan has a portfolio of over 600 courses and an established research reputation.
In recent years, we have invested over £100 million on teaching and learning facilities and each year we contribute indirectly around £300 million to the local economy.
UCLan is committed to our Masterplan, which will see £200 million invested and will be a catalyst for significant social, economic and physical regeneration in the city of Preston that will have ripple-effect benefits across Lancashire, the NW and the UK as a whole.
Our ethos as a university is to encourage and motivate individuals to achieve their full potential and to nurture talent from all cultures and backgrounds.
Through our award-winning Social Engagement initiatives and the Centre for Volunteering and Community Leadership (CVCL), we work with our local communities to ensure the University is civic anchor within the region.
With a staff and student community approaching 38,000, in terms of overall student numbers we sit within the UK’s top 10 universities, and have students and researchers from over 100 countries.
Our formal partnerships with over 120 international institutions means that we are at the forefront of developing educational programmes with a global appeal.
UCLan is also ranked in the top 3.3% of universities globally by the Centre for World University Rankings 2017 (CWUR), and was the UK’s first modern university to get into the QS World rankings, being awarded the maximum five stars for the quality of our teaching.
Come to our Open Day on Saturday 16 June and you can find out why the Guardian University Guide 2018 named the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) one of the UK’s most improved universities, rising 20 places and with eight subject areas in the top 20.
