The Wizarding World has grown ever since the first Harry Potter film and now with the Fantastic Beasts addition, there are possibilities that are never ending.
The characters have and will stay with us forever, but one character that leaves everyone wondering is the enigmatic Albus Dumbledore. The third film of the Fantastic Beasts franchise gives us an insight into the man himself and shows us a side of him that no one suspects.
The film follows Albus Dumbledore (played by Jude Law) who is out to put a stop to the dark Gellert Grindelwald (played by Mads Mikkelson). As they were friends in their childhood, Dumbledore is stuck as to how to stop the man he thought he knew.
The cinematography and creativity are outstanding and really makes you feel you are there with Dumbledore, Scamander and others. It’s as if you are travelling through the story with them, which keeps the audience hooked from start to finish.
The story itself acts like a diary to give us an insight into Dumbledore and reveals how he is connected to Grindelwald. Mads Mikkelson proves again that he is the perfect choice for the bad guy; he gives Grindelwald a darker and menacing nature that makes us understand why Dumbledore had to take the steps he did. Law brings out a vulnerability to Dumbledore that no one expects. As he is always seen to know the answers and has a calm aura in the Harry Potter films, this film takes us deeper into us past shows us how he became the great wizard.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is out on DVD and BluRay now.
