MARY CATHERINE STARK CODLING On 14th August 2021 with her family at her side, Mary Codling, of Martholme, Great Harwood, passed away peacefully at the age of 84. A local dentist, she practised under her maiden name, Miss MCS McFarlane in Blackburn, later becoming a Specialist Orthodontist in both Blackburn and Clitheroe. Mary had been diagnosed with Parkinson's syndrome in 2018, which contributed to her ill health leading to her death. She is survived by her husband, solicitor Tom Codling, and two of their daughters, Philippa and Emma, and two grandchildren, Alexander and Isobel. Their 3rd daughter, Sophia, predeceased Mary in 1990. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday 31st August at Pleasington Priory at 2pm. Family flowers only please, donations in memory of Mary, if desired are invited for Parkinson's UK.
