The Conservatives have a narrow lead over Labour in the Press Association's latest poll of polls.

With 57 days to go until the general election, the Tories are currently on 33.1%, 0.4 points ahead of Labour on 32.7%.

Ukip are in third place on 14.8%, the Liberal Democrats fourth on 7.6% and the Greens fifth on 6.3%.

The poll of polls is a simple rolling average of every nationwide poll published in the last seven days.

Today's figures suggest the UK is still heading towards another hung parliament, with no party winning the 326 seats needed to form a majority in the House of Commons.

The latest projections of the result also point to a hung parliament.

The Guardian is forecasting the Tories to win 279 seats, with Labour on 266, the SNP 52, the Lib Dems 27, Ukip 4, the Greens 1 and others 21.

The New Statesman's election website May2015.com puts the Tories on 284 and Labour on 261, with the SNP on 55, the Lib Dems 24, Ukip 3, the Greens 1 and others 22.

The website ElectionForecast.co.uk, run by a team of academics, currently predicts the Tories to win 293 seats, with Labour on 271, the SNP 40, the Lib Dems 24, Ukip 1, the Greens 1 and others 20.

Together, these predictions give the Conservatives an average lead over Labour of 19 seats.

Just one new poll was published in the last 24 hours. A survey by YouGov put the Tories on 33% ( down 2) and Labour on 31% (nc), with Ukip on 15% (up 1), the Lib Dems on 8% (nc) and the Greens on 6% (nc).
