BBC Radio 4 is asking listeners to share stories that emphasize what really matters to them in this election, with the Listeners’ Election.
So far, during this noisy campaign which is only set to get noisier, a lot has been heard about the economy, the NHS and immigration - topics of huge importance and of interest to many.
The BBC also wants to ensure the political discussion and debate reflects the range of concerns in communities across the nation and the Listeners’ Election is an opportunity for people from all corners of the country to have their voices heard.
Right now, people can put forward the subjects they feel politicians should also be focusing on. Listeners can submit their stories on the BBC Radio 4 website and the most engaging, interesting and ear-catching will be reported on and shared with the rest of the UK.
Listeners’ Election stories will be broadcast on Radio 4’s World At One and available on the BBC News website. There will also be a series of special programmes on Radio 4 in the last week of April.
