A Conservative election candidate has apologised after making a remark about Ed Miliband on Facebook.
Gulzabeen Afsar, who is standing as a councillor for the Conservatives in Derby was talking about the Labour Leader with another user reported the Jewish News this weekend.
She said she couldn't take Ed Miliband seriously, the man said: "Now come on...some respect for the future PM :)"
She replied: "Nah Bro! never ever will I drop that low and support the Al Yahud! lol."
Mr Miliband has Jewish parents and has described himself as a Jewish atheist.
Gulzabeen Afsar, 31 removed the statement from Facebook.
A Conservative Party spokesman told the Derby Telegraph said: "Her comment was offensive and wrong. She has removed it and apologised."
The city's Labour group spokesman, Baggy Shanker, said: "As an ethnic minority councillor myself, it's very disappointing. I'd expect her to have better control of her comments."
