A man from Kolkata, India, has won an award for not honking his car in 18 years.
Dipak Das, 52, was awarded the accolade at the Manush Mela which is in its second year and rewards citizens for doing something unique for the benefit of society.
According to the Hindustan Times, Das said, “I think if a driver follows this no-horn policy, he will become more alert while driving. If a driver has proper sense of space, speed and timing, he or she need not use horn.”
