A Muslim painter spent three years rewriting the Quran using gold on silk pages.
The project, considered to be a masterpiece, is the work of Azerbaijani painter Tunzale Memmedzade.
After researching the different methods of rewriting the Quran, Tunzale discovered that it had not been rewritten on silk.
Tunzale used the official version of the Quran released from the Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs as her reference. She acquired over three pints of liquid gold and 164 feet of blue silk for the project.
