Mosque and madressa students took part in a 5-a-side football tournament in Blackburn.
The 4th annual tournament was organised by Hafiz Asif Iqbal and Hanif Premi and attracted over a hundred students from different Islamic centres in the town.
The tournament played at the Soccer Dome in Blackburn, ended in a thrilling final which saw Faizan e Raza come back from 2-0 to win 4-2 against Ghosia Mosque of Chester Street. Faizan e Raza went into half-time trailing to two early goals but then staged a monumental comeback in the space of five minutes.

Both sides had cruised through the group stages scoring over 10 goals each. In the semi-finals it was a different story and the finalists had to win penalty shoot-outs to progress.
Trophies and medals were handed out to the teams by representatives from the mosques.
Organisers said: “We would like to thank all the mosques and madressas for their support and for the children for participating in some great gamers throughout the day.”
