Georgia Wilson was over the moon to clinch back-to-back individual para dressage bronze medals at Paris 2024.
The 28-year-old equalled her Tokyo 2020 result with individual grade two bronze in front of the stunning backdrop of Versailles, thrilled to reach the podium once more in such a competitive field after scoring 73.414 per cent on horse Sakura.
The USA's Fiona Howard took gold with Denmark's Katrine Kristensen clinching silver.
“I’m over the moon," said Wilson, who is part of Aldi’s Nearest and Dearest programme in partnership with ParalympicsGB, helping to maximise support and minimise potential distractions for athletes so that they can focus on their performance.
"I knew who I was competing against and there are three or four really good ones so I didn’t know where I was going to come so to get a medal is amazing.
"The competition is really high which is exciting."
Wilson's success came just hours after teammate Natasha Baker took her own bronze medal in the grade three competition in a rain-soaked Versailles.
But with the rain subsiding in time for her competition, it was a confident ride for Wilson who now has three Paralympic medals to her name.
“It was a really good ride today," she added. "Sakura loves an atmosphere and I had that confidence going the arena.
"I'm very glad not to be riding in the rain as well. I came to watch Natasha and had to dive back into the car. It’s not too hot and not too cold now though so it was the perfect weather for me."
Bronze secured automatic qualification to the individual freestyle event on Saturday, with the top eight riders all progressing.
It's an event that Wilson also clinched bronze in at Tokyo, and after winning silver in the event last year at the FEI Para Dressage European Championship in Riesenbeck, Wilson will look to reach the podium once more in Paris.
She said: "It’s been a fab year and I’ve got so much to look forward to.
"I’m looking forward to Saturday as I love the freestyle. We’ve got a bit of Ellie Goulding in there."
