Award-winning actress Juliet Stevenson has released a message film calling again on the UK government to end its complicity in the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

The film, developed in collaboration with Artists for Palestine UK, supports the legal campaign by the Global Legal Action Network and the Palestinian human rights organisation Al-Haq to suspend all UK weapons sales to Israel.

Although the government has suspended the export of some weapons, it continues to license the supply of parts that keep Israel's lethal F-35 jets flying. Lawyers from GLAN and Al-Haq have warned the government of their criminal liability over the continued exports.

The actress and peace campaigner said: “The bombs which shredded some 90 people to bits were launched from F-35 jets.

“Building and maintaining the F-35s has been Britain’s biggest contribution to the war on Gaza – has been and still is.

She urged viewers to support a campaign by the Global Legal Action Network and Palestinian human rights group Al-Haq calling for the suspension of all UK weapons sales to Israel.

She added: “Every day brings a new atrocity. This government, our government, cannot go on pretending this isn’t happening."

The Israeli regime has killed more than 41,000 Palestinians, according to local health authorities, flattened wide areas across Gaza and displaced the vast majority of its 2.3 million people, often multiple times.

This week least a further 51 people have been killed and another 82 were injured after the Israeli army targeted a refugee camp made up of women and children.
