A major conference which aims to enhance the mental wellbeing of women is due to take place next month.

The first-ever Resilient Mind Mental Health Conference, will take place on Saturday 2 November at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham.

Organised by Global Relief Trust and Quranic Insights, the women-only panel conference will bring together mental health professionals who will share their expertise and insights on 'developing a resilient mind'.

The panel  will cover a range of topics, including stress management, emotional resilience, and self-care practices tailored to the unique experiences of women.

Speakers include: Rubbia A, Jumana Moon, Henna Mohammed, Aishah Javid, Thaminah Aziz, and Ilham Terbagou.

Visitors will be able to network with the panel members for the final hour of the conference where panel members will advise on practical tools and strategies for improving mental well-being.

A community building session will allow people to connect with like-minded women who share your commitment to mental health and well-being.

Global Relief Trust Mental Health Ambassador Rubbia A believes it is vital to provide safe and supportive environments where women can openly discuss the unique challenges they face.

“We aim for the event to contribute to breaking the silence around mental health conditions and struggles within the community whilst also addressing cultural and religious sensitivities.

“Ultimately, we hope it fosters a sense of belonging, provides some psychoeducation (with an Islamic lens) and empowers women to seek the support they deserve to thrive mentally and spiritually.”
