Undisputed light-heavyweight champ Artur Beterbiev will be Blackburn next month as part of UK-wide tour.

Beterbiev is the first boxer to become the undisputed light-heavyweight champion since Roy Jones Jr last held the distinction in 2002.

The tour ‘The Greater Fight’ will be at take place on Sunday, December 1, at the Grand Venue in Hamilton Street.

It is one of only three events taking place in the UK, with the other two in Birmingham and Luton.

Beterbiev, 39, has partnered with Al-Medina 313 for the charity event which is dedicated to supporting critical humanitarian projects.

The event is advertised as a 'male only' event.

Beterbiev will be in Blackburn on December 1Organisers said: “This exclusive event is not only a chance to connect personally with a legendary athlete but also to make a lasting impact on lives in need around the world.

“Artur Beterbiev is known for his incredible achievements and dedication to his sport, will be joined by many special guests.

"Artur Beterbiev is the undefeated and undisputed light heavyweight champion of the world.

"He is only the third Muslim to achieve this after Muhammad Ali and Bernard Hopkins.”

Special Guests include Qari Mikaeel Mala; boxing promoter and former fighter, Spencer Fearon and director of Maurice Andrews Solicitors and politician, Akhmed Yakoob.

Beterbiev was born in the Dagestan region of Russia and currently lives in his adopted country of Canada.

He has won all 21 of his bouts during his professional career and is also believed to have won 295 of 300 amateur bouts, including World and European Championship gold medals.

In October, Beterbiev defeated Dmitry Bivol to become the undisputed champion, adding the WBA strap to his IBF, WBC and WBO belts.
