Three Bury businesses are sending a van more than 5,000 miles from the town to war-torn Gaza.
The vehicle will join a large convoy of trucks, ambulances and vans packed with aid, making the journey to the Middle East.
Boss Performance, in Heywood Street, has provided the van for the journey and Budget Signs and Sultan Style, both based in Ormerod Street, have raised around £5,000 to fund the trip.
The van will be packed full of food, clothes and medical aid, and once the van reaches its destination, that too will be donated, to be used as an ambulance.
Sultan Fazil, who owns Sultan Style, said: “It is essential that we send as much aid as possible. When we heard about the convoy we decided to get involved.
“We have raised £5,000 and collected clothing, shoes and medical supplies. One of our friends has volunteered to drive.”
