Simon Danczuk, Rochdale’s Labour Parliamentary Candidate, and his partner, Karen Burke, popped into The Milnrow Balti Restaurant to donate toys for the Jalalabad Ragib-Rabeya Medical College Hospital in Sylhet.
Simon said: “We were delighted to help the Toys 4 Kids campaign set up by the Rochdale Bangladeshi Partnership to provide toys for this hospital’s children’s ward.
"The Milnrow Balti is one of the drop-off points for people’s spare toys so we stayed for a curry as well, which tasted fantastic!”
Karen Burke added: “We gathered together all our young son Milton’s toys, that he’s stopped playing with, and thought what better use to make of them than to donate them to this hospital’s children’s ward. I’m sure Milton, who is nearly two, will be delighted to know that his toys have gone to such a good cause.”
For those wishing to donate toys the deadline has been extended to 23rd April and they can contact the Rochdale Bangladeshi Partnership by visiting their website: www.rbpp.org.uk or by emailing: info@rbpp.org.uk.
