I have tried to ignore takeaway hot spots on my travels but this month I had to make an exception.
The Pyramids based on Darwen Street in Blackburn has been established since 1989 and is renowned for it's service and quality.
The owner Mazem is originally from Lebanon and that little nation has a great history of producing some fine cuisine so I was expecting something out of the ordinary.
The take way has a frequent flow of customers during the day but really gets busy at night.
I popped in at elevenish to try and catch them off-guard.
But it didn't work. The staff - although in the middle of about four or five big orders - still found time to take my order down, make some conversation and dispatch my food to me within 10 minutes.
Surprising, seing as I was out to try a bit of everything after a busy evening playing football at the JJB.
You can usually tell from a place how popular with the kind of reaction the customers give.
While I waited half a dozen customers came and went and one even came back for seconds!
They laid the Mighty meaty pizza on me first, followed by a cheese burger.
But it was the Jumbo Special (Kofta, chicken, donner and shish) which caught my eye.
It cost £6 which might seem a bit pricey but it's not called a Jumbo kebab for nothing....this was the mother of all kebabs.
I must say I was impressed with such a creation. It made me realise I am after all only human.
Pyramids has a wide variety of the usual dishes on the menu all at reasonable prices.
The lunchtime super value meals start off at only £2.50 and there was six different types of Garlic bread on offer.
