Bushra Irfan got the backing of a former candidate at an election dinner.

This dinner at the Shahi Qila Restaurant featured Craig Murray (who stood against Jack Straw in the 2005 election). He had to take to the stage after a series of people had spoken briefly about local and international issues affecting them.

That included some words from Bushra's outspoken husband.

Craig Murray thankfully began his speech by stating that it shouldn’t make any difference what background anyone is and was applauded by the 100 or so crowd.
