Yasmin Qureshi MP was special guest as a Bolton beauty salon hosted its own graduation ceremony for aspiring make up artists.
Shenaz salon, which has been established for nearly 30 years is an independent ladies-only beauty salon serving Astley Bridge and Halliwell.
The Shenaz Salon and Training Academy has been instrumental in assisting those for whom English is a second language.
Owner Shenaz Rahman said: “It has been an honour to be part of their journey to break from tradition by gaining skills to create their own businesses which can not only fit around their varied lifestyles, but also empower them to become financially independent and contributing members of society.”
Ms Qureshi MP emphasised the need ‘to continuously think outside the box’ telling attendees, "We are only limited by our own actions to achieve set goals."
The salon is hoping to soon offer a variety of similar courses with teaching tailored to different languages.
