A business networking group hosted the Indian Consul General at a special celebration in Bolton.
The Saffron Group’s 'Taste of India' dinner at the Holiday Inn was attended by 140 guests from across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
The event was supported by headline sponsors Tyreoo and Bolton Holiday Inn. Indian Consul General, Dr Venkatachalam Murugan had travelled from Birmingham was joined by the leader of council, Cllr Nick Peel and Miranda Barker OBE, CEO of East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
Guest speakers included the Saffron ambassadors Iain Round and Khalid Saifullah.
A specially prepared vegetarian menu, with servings placed in traditional 'thalis' was provided by the award-winning Lily’s Restaurant.

“The fact is, these individuals already exist, and our goal is to bring them together to see if we can do more collectively for each other and the region.”
