Bradford All Stars secretary/coach Arif Khan was a happy man as he savoured winning the Telegraph & Argus League title in the club's debut season.
All Stars were only formed four years ago, initially playing friendlies before the youthful side decided to try their hand in an open-age league.
It developed into one of the closest title races for many seasons, with the newcomers holding their nerve over the closing weeks to hold off defending champions IMS Celtic and Fairbank by two points.
Khan reflected: "I had been involved in football for many years but decided to set up a club as there was nothing really happening for youngsters in the area.
"With crime and drugs rife, I wanted to make a change through voluntary commitment so I entered an open-age side in the T&A League.
"We are delighted to win but it was a real team effort and would not have been possible without a number of backers and sponsors.
"We must thank Sean Harris at Challenge College, who allowed us to use their facilities, Ash from Tyre Trax, Pat from Hyundai, Mr Ashraf from Supreme Quality Foods, Kamran from Bradford Office Supplies and Mr Sajid from Broomfield Garage."
All Stars were the most consistent team throughout the season and, despite the occasional hiccup, were deserved champions.
Fairbank, also playing their first season in the league, were in the running for the majority of the season but will rue dropping four points to mid-table outfit Smiling Mule in the closing stages.
IMS Celtic will also regret having three points deducted by the league committee some time after winning their match against Bradford Arms due to a rules irregularity.
Bradford Arms and Ravenscliffe should have been challenging at the top of the table but fell off the pace in mid-season and left too much ground to make up.
A consolation for Bradford Arms was playing in the League Cup final but they were edged out by West Bowling.
Arms did take the lead but Bowling went on to win for the second time in the four seasons they have played in the league thanks to a hotly-disputed penalty in the closing stages.
