Azzak Tigers stormed to a famous win at a cricket festival in Blackburn.
The AH Sports Cricket Festival took place at East Lancs Cricket Club with winners taking home a £1,300 cash prize and runners up presented with £700.
Azzak Tigers had travelled all the way from Birmingham to take part in the tournament and took on last year’s runners-up Sattar Builders from Blackburn in the showpiece final.
Teams were allowed to field three professional players each. A pitch side commentator and dhol drummers kept fans entertained throughout the day.
Ashish from Birmingham picked up the man of the match award whilst the player of the tournament award went to Asad Afridi.
The best batsmen award went to Imran Rafiq and the best bowler award to Sajid Ahmadzai.
Councillor Shaukat Hussain and former mayor Iftikhar Hussain were on hand to present the awards to some of the players.
Tournament organisers said: “We would like to thank East Lancs once again alongside Abid Ditta and the groundsman for providing a great facility again.
“A huge thank you to all sponsors without their support it would not be possible to deliver such an event successfully.
“And to all the AH Sports staff - Shabaz Hussain, Haider Afzal, Ateeb Zaman, Haroon Ali and Sajid Ali.”
